PAVED

Penn Alumni Veterinarians for Equity & Diversity

About PAVED

The goal of PAVED (Penn Alumni Veterinarians for Equity and Diversity) is to create a network of alumni who identify as underrepresented minorities and wish to build a community, develop support systems, and provide opportunities to create connections among alumni and students.

Partnering with Alumni Relations, PAVED aims to engage more alumni volunteers that reflect Penn Vet’s diverse alumni population, while also identifying leaders who can share a wide range of experiences and knowledge as veterinary professionals.

PAVED collaborates with a variety of people and organizations at Penn Vet including VOICE, the Diversity Council, Career Services and more for programs and events where alumni can contribute to understanding and appreciating diversity as a priority in veterinary medicine.

Connect with PAVED:

In recognizing the importance of building and maintaining our community, PAVED hosts a monthly virtual get-together for all alumni, students, faculty and friends.

We envision the gatherings will be used for events ranging from formal presentations, seminars, to casual conversations discussing current events. We welcome and encourage content to be requested and driven by the participants at all levels.

The monthly get-together takes place virtually on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM (EST). Contact Alumni Relations for more information and the virtual meeting details.
